| Donna Montalbano, author of The House on Benefit Street and The Shop on Wickenden Street. Donna Montalbano is an award winning advertising copywriter and free lance magazine writer. An ardent booster of her adopted home, Providence, Rhode Island, she regularly contributes to the East Side and Providence Monthly magazines. Her first novel, The House on Benefit Street, was inspired by an article she wrote about moving from a new house in the country to an old house on the East Side of Providence. The sequel: The Shop on Wickenden Street is currently in the hands of a New York literary agent; thanks in part to the big track record of sales of The House on Benefit Street. Donna also hosts the weekly program "Speaking of Adoption" live on 1240 AM WOON Rhode Island, and live and archived on the web at onworldwide.com. She also regularly teaches Write and Self Publish classes at the Learning Connection in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
